The old town of Warsaw was made a UNESCO world heritage site in 1980. During World War II nearly 90% of the old town was destroyed. When the war finished the city began the reconstruction of this part of the city and slowly the churches, palaces and colourful facades were rebuilt.
To appreciate the cityβs best views, go up to the observation deck on the thirtieth floor of the Palace of Culture and Science. The 360 degree view from up here is amazing.
Itβs worth visiting Praga area where there are post industrial buildings and new retail and office developments with creative shops and a variety of eating options.
