A Little House on Serifos Island

The ferry approaches the port and the crews open the ferry platform allowing a gentle breeze to caress my face. It’s sunny with blue skies and looking up I could see a lump of white houses perched on rocky hills. That’s Chora town, an area not to be missed when visiting the rugged, history-laden Serifos Island.

I’m looking forward to meet my host, Makis. And I can’t wait to see the little house I will be staying at over the next 3 nights. The house itself is located in Ramos village which is a 20-minute walk from the port. Makis drives me to the house and we arrive there within minutes.

The house is painted white with yellow wooden windows. It’s cute, cosy and it has an open terrace with washing lines and an outdoor seating area which I love. It’s a haven of calm and the perfect place to unwind.
