I have always wanted to visit a lavender field because I love beautifully scented lavenders and they are certainly photogenic. So a few days ago I visited the lovely Mayfield organic lavender farm located in Banstead, Surrey. It took me two bus rides and a fifteen-minute walk to reach the lavender farm but it was a worthwhile journey. If you live in London then a visit to this lavender farm can be done easily and it makes a perfect day out on a beautiful summer's day especially in July and August when the lavenders are at their best.
