Located in Twickenham this gothic mansion was built in the 1700s. It became the summer residence of Horace Walpole, who transformed two cottages on site at the time into his vision of the gothic castle.
This year I had the opportunity to attend the flower festival at Strawberry Hill House. The event was the result of collaborations with over 40 of the most prestigious floral designers, artists and British flower growers from around the country. All artists who exhibited here are committed to sustainability, artistry and design. They brought those qualities into what they do day to day. Only British flowers were used in creating the floral arrangements. The artists also incorporated Walpoleβs ideas about design and how elements such as visual impact, colour and the play between light and dark were considered.
